The annual CMA Fest is back and ready to tear it up in Nashville, Tennessee June 8-11. We all know names of headliners like: Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, and Miranda Lambert. But who are some of these new names that we are seeing for the first time? The small stages are turning into homes for many up and coming artists and its time we started meeting some of them!
Alyssa Micaela is among one of the new names coming to CMA Fest’s Gildan Broadway Stage. Alyssa originates from Texas where she enjoyed spending time with her Spanish-speaking grandparents. With her strong independent attitude, it is no surprise that her idols consist of: Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn, and Miranda Lambert. She has co-written songs like: “Crazy Girl” (The Eli Young Band), “Girl Crush” (Little Big Town) and “You Belong With Me” (Taylor Swift). With her genuine personality and strong voice, she is definitely an artist to check out.
Dylan Schneider will be performing on the Gildan Broadway Stage as well and is another name you might want to keep an eye on. Dylan originated from Terre Haute, Indiana where he intended to be a baseball player in the major leagues, but that dream quickly vanished when he found his love for Country music. He played acoustic sets around local venues until he was enlisted by artist manager, Sean Pace. He has released two EP’s since. Keep an eye out for tour dates coming to a city near you.
Chris Bandi is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter who will be playing the Gildan Broadway Stage too. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri Chris grew up listening to Bruce Springsteen and Garth Brooks. He graduated from Ole Miss and spent a few summers traveling back and forth between Oxford and Nashville. Soon he moved to Nashville where he collaborated with other songwriters and started touring with bands like LoCash and The Marshall Tucker Band. His stage presence is infectious and can get any crowd going. Check out the single “Man Enough Now” to get a taste of Chris Bandi’s sound.
Olivia Lane is a Tennessee-based singer/songwriter originally from Texas. She is such a refreshing soul with an optimistic attitude about life. After she graduated from USC she found her way to Tennessee where she hooked up with fellow songwriters to help get her creative juices flowing. She learned just how gifted she was with providing inspirational lyrics and a positive attitude to go with it. Thus, giving her remarkable stage presence others can be inspired by. Her music is a combination of Country and Pop with some Texas twang. Check out this exciting up and coming Country artist at the Gildan Broadway Stage at CMA Fest.
